This is a painting done by Emanuel Leutze. It captures the iconic crossing of the mighty Delaware River. The painting has very cool colors and is one of my favorite paintings overall. The history behind this is a bit skewed, being that the part of the Delaware that he crossed was only about the size of a football field. The painting uses a nice variety of blues and is just soothing to the eye. I love America.
