Gas Vulture by Banksy in 2010

I chose this piece because this artist, Banksy is my favorite. He is an England-based graffiti artist, political activist, film director, and painter. He is known for his dark humor with many works of political and social meanings behind it. This is one of my favorite known as the Gas Vulture where the head of the vulture is a gas pump. I liked how he used this concept to show that vultures are greedy with their prey typically so he is trying to show that gas pumps are like vultures in a sense of taking our money. Another way to look at it is that the gas companies are at the "top of the food chain" where they control and manipulate us for profit (supply and demand).
