Autumnal Cannibalism by Salvdor  Dali was painted in response to the Spanish civil war. I believe it represents a landscape in turmoil where man and woman or forced to consume each other for the sake of personal survival. It shows me the turmoil people faced during such a trying time I like the painting because there are all these little intricacies which have to be studied in detailed but only make sense if you look at the whole picture
